Palworld – How Work Speed Is Calculated and What the Max Is

How Work Speed Is Calculated

Some people might have figured it out or maybe most, but idk and I barely figured it out.

So from what I’ve seen, EVERY pal has a base work speed of 70, but why do some have 91? This is due to the 30% bonus from souls, 70×1.3=91. The reason this matters is because that 30% affects the actual BASE work speed, which is then affected by work speed buffs from passives and food, while fully condensing a pal doesn’t increase the work speed value for a pal, in the case of Anubis it will still do its crafting job better because at 4* it’s handiwork gets 1 level higher, I have yet to test how much of a speed boost it gets from that though, what I can say is that 293 is the max visible work speed when you look at a pals stats.

For MAX work speed, use 10 small 6 medium and 6 large pal souls to upgrade the base work speed from 70-91 at the statue of power but do this step once you have a pal with good passives

For the best work speed passives, get artisan, work slave, serious and lucky, for a nice 115% boost, now you have 195 work speed, this is the highest permanent work speed attainable at the moment, to my knowledge

But how do you get 293? Simple make mozzarina hamburger with 1 mozzarina meat, 1 flour and 2 lettuce for I believe it was ~162 nutrition ~11 SAN and a massive 50% work speed boost, which isn’t added to the passives boost, rather it multiplies the current work speed of the pal, which was 195, giving you a whopping 293 work speed

Alternatively you could easily mass produce salads with just 2 lettuce and 2 tomatoes each, for a 30% work speed boost and ~254 Work speed,

And of course you can still get even higher work speed using…..the monitoring stand, it barely occurred to me to test it, the hard working setting gives your pals a 25% work speed boost bumping up that 195 to 244, and the super hard working setting boosts it by 50% to a whole 293, BEFORE eating the hamburger…hunting…

If you have 293 due to the monitoring stand, feeding your pal a mozzarina hamburger will boost this Pals work speed to a massive 490 for 10 whole minutes, what more could you possibly need? If you want to make them even faster place down the water fountain/tool box, etc for a 10% boost on that work, and I get the feeling I missed something but for now the max work speed I know of is 490, I’ll edit this post if I figure out what it is that makes me feel like there’s one more thing to boost work speed, if not I’ll just leave it as is. Maybe I was just thinking about the boosts from using an assembly line which was around 20% or 25% but that’s not part of your pals own work speed stat.

Note: Although not really I’m adding this before posting, but a strange juice actually counts as a 400% work speed boost but only lasts around 5-10 second but this could give you a 1467 work speed for that short amount of time, great for medicine pals if you need to make lots of medicine I guess

TLDR: With best work speed passively, enhancing work speed with souls, using the monitoring stand and using good food you can attain 440 work speed from feeding that mozzarina hamburgers, or 1467 from feeding them a strange juice from the medicine workbench but the strange juice lasts 5-10 seconds

  1. Thanks for this! Dumud food also works and it’s easily farmable in the beach in the center of the map.

Does the monitoring stand boost egg laying and farming pals or only work speed?

Do nodes need work speed, attack or both? Does monitoring stand work in the mining bases?
