Tips for Turrets
Habitually, storing them and replacing them solve the problem.
Always put turret on something you can store, if they disapear, you store the carpet or the thing under it then replace all the combo (carpet/turret).
Make them float
Why? floating turrets are hard to destroy by AI enemies, but you will still have problems with mutant sharpshooters? just put some crops in front of your turrets, AI likes crops, let them have it and turrets make the rest.
Generators
Another problem with turrets are generators, if you left your generator in open area (no matter if you left it close by walls, AI will destroy them (walls) with your generator too), a nice trick is putting a wood trap in the ground, put the generator up the trap, MAKE all the connections you need, and at the END use the trap, no need to worry about generators anymore.
