Not actually nearly as difficult as a lot of people make it out to be, they’re just being weird about an old and hard to get into game.
In all honestly the most difficult part of the original System Shock was the controls.
Tips for Newcomers
- Take notes so you don’t forget anything important.
- Check your map constantly (the original system shock also let you add notes to your map, unsure if this remake has that but it’s very useful.)
- Be smart about picking your fights and managing your inventory, System Shock is in many ways a survival game and your resources are limited.
- Until you activate each level’s respawn station you only have one life in that area, die and it’s game over. So start out extra careful until you have that safety to fall back on.
