How to Cheat the 6 Player Limit

Do you have over 6 friends? Want to play with all of them? This guide shows how to cheat the 6 player limit!

Introduction

The 6 player limit seems intentional, but we can bypass it. I can’t promise stability with very high player counts though. I’m not a dev, so use this at your own risk.

How to Do It

First, download a cheating program like Cheat Engine.

Note: Skip this part if you already know how to use it. I’m not responsible for explosions!

With the game open, select the process in Cheat Engine.

Set the Max Players count to any high number. Search for this number in Cheat Engine.

Change the number and scan again until you have 2 matching values.

Change those 2 values to your desired new player count.

The in-game count will still show 6, but you changed the server file.

When others join, they’ll get a “modified server file” message. Just gaslight them about that message!

The new higher player count you set will now be allowed.

Conclusion

Hopefully this lets you play with all your friends, not just 6. Wish the devs would just add an option to increase it officially. But this cheat works for now to bypass that limit!
