Here are the details:

After finishing a certain late-game quest, you’ll get the blueprint for a machine that costs 3 moonstones, and produces one moonstone per day.

This means you can build one machine, then the next one after three days, then the next one after two days, and so on – you’ll be able to build more machines each day because you’ll earn more moonstones each day, it’s a never-ending, self-sustaining feedback loop that will shower you with moonstones.

This makes it extremely easy to get the 2000 moonstones that you’d need to sell for the “one million coins” achievement. If you want to do it even quicker (but with a bit more manual work), you can also melt the moonstones into bars and sell those to Ferra, because at that point, you’ll have more moonstones than you’ll ever possibly need.

So, in short:

If you’re trying to do the “one million / two million coins” achievements right now, then you’ll have to put a considerable amount of work into that. But if you do it later, when you have an endless supply of an expensive resource at your disposal, you can do it much quicker and easier.
