Wayfinder – How to Unlock FOV for Ultra-Wide Monitors

FOV Fix for Ultra-Wide Monitors

The difference between 1920×1080(1440) and 5120×1440 (Or 3840×1080, etc etc) is night and day when it comes to Field-of-View. So this is a quick step-by-step guide to fix that!

  • Hit your Windows Key + R . The Run command should pop up.
  • Type in: %localappdata% -> Press enter. The Local Appdata folder should show up.
  • From this subfolder, make your way to the following: Atlas\Saved\Config\WindowsClient
  • Right Click and open the file Engine.ini using Notepad (or ++ if you have it.)
  • At the bottom of the file, add the following line of code:
[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV
  • Open your game (You should immediately notice a difference with the open letter before you hit the title screen.)
  • Goto your settings -> graphics, and make sure you are set to windowed fullscreen.
  • Hop in game, and you should notice a massive difference, and a now very playable game!

Note: This is only a temporary fix until Airship actually implements this line of code permanently. This does not break Easy Anti-Cheat, nor does it bypass it. It’s safe and reliable for those of us who need better FoV while using Ultra-Wide Monitors.

Thank you and have a good day!

I turned my love for games from a hobby into a job back in 2005, since then working on various gaming / entertainment websites. But in 2016 I finally created my first website about video games – Gameplay Tips. And exactly 4 years later, Game Cheat Codes was created – my second website dedicated to legal game cheats. My experience with games started back in 1994 with the Metal Mutant game on ZX Spectrum computer. And since then, I’ve been playing on anything from consoles, to mobile devices.
