There are always cheat codes and console instructions if hard effort is not for you. We’ll demonstrate several Victoria 3 cheats to you so you can have a simpler and/or more enjoyable time playing the game.
How to Enable Console (Debug Mode)
A console command can be entered in Victoria 3’s debug mode, which is by default deactivated.
In non-Ironman games, you may open a special debugging window by pressing (any of these combinations):
- ~ (Tilde)
- Shift+2
- Shift+3
- Alt+2+1
- Shift+Alt+C
Note: In order to go through previously executed commands, press the up or down arrow keys. To have a command autocompleted, input the first part of it and then press Tab.
Enabling Debug Mode
There are several options to enable the Debug Mode.
- Mod: You can install a special mod: Free Console Access.
- Launcher: Select Game Settings from the left-hand menu in the game launcher. Launch the game after navigating to the “Open game in Debug Mode” option.
- Steam: Add -debug_mode option to the launch options.
