V Rising – Cheat Codes (Console Commands)

Tired of grinding for hours while you collect minerals and other components for your castle’s construction? There are, thankfully, alternatives. You’ll discover all you need to know about activating console commands and cheats, as well as the finest console commands, in this V Rising tutorial.

How to Enable Console

In V Rising, using Console Commands is simple and only requires a few basic options to be turned on and active.

  • Select Options in Main Menu / Pause Menu.
  • Under General, select Console Enabled and ensure it is ticked.
  • Return to your game and press the Tilde key ( ` ).
  • The console menu will appear, which may be dismissed by hitting the ( ` ) key again.

Now that console commands are allowed, make sure admin rights are turned on as well.

  • Open the Console Command by pressing the ( ` ) key.
  • Once open, type adminauth and press enter to enable admin access.

Console Commands

  • With the console open, type List and press Tab to complete the auto-fill. Once auto-filled, press Enter and watch as the entire list of console commands is displayed.

[Give / Giveset] Command

  • Open the console command by pressing the ` key.
  • In the console, type give (it can be auto-filled by pressing Tab when partially typed) and press Space.
  • A list of potential functions should now appear. Use your Up and Down arrow keys to select from the list of items. You can also type out the name of the item you are looking to obtain.
  • Once you have found your desired item, press Tab to complete the auto-fill. All that’s left to do is to type the number of items you wish to receive, followed by Enter to complete the command.

Note: If the cheat codes “give” and “giveset” do not appear or work when entering them into the console, this likely means that you do not have the server permissions to access the command.

New Admin Commands

To improve management of privately hosted servers, devs have added new admin console commands:

  • changehealthofclosesttomouse – This command modifies the health of the target unit/object closest to the admin’s cursor, allowing admins to deal damage or heal targets.
  • changedurability – This command modifies the durability of equipped items. Note that it cannot be used to repair broken items that are not equipped.
  • addtime – This command adds up to 12 in-game hours to leap in time, affecting the current in-game hour and the respawn timers of units and objects. Use this command in quick succession to add more time. Please note that a server can never go back in time.

I turned my love for games from a hobby into a job back in 2005, since then working on various gaming / entertainment websites. But in 2016 I finally created my first website about video games – Gameplay Tips. And exactly 4 years later, Game Cheat Codes was created – my second website dedicated to legal game cheats. My experience with games started back in 1994 with the Metal Mutant game on ZX Spectrum computer. And since then, I’ve been playing on anything from consoles, to mobile devices.
