The Ascent – Cyber Samurai Build (Ghost of the Ascent)

Quick Guide to Cyber Samurai Build

This Cyber Samurai has high resistances and mobility to easily dodge incoming fire. Tank physical dmg as you dash towards your foes and slice them to pieces.

Slow down projectiles with Hyper Focus and manage energy consumption while charging tactical with Overclock and Tactical Charge. Once each brutal encounter is over heal your wounds with Rejuv Field.

Skills

Focus on maxing out Vital Signs and Body Battery first followed by Evasion and Tactical Sense. Then put the remainder of your points into Balance for stun, knockback and stagger resist while also boosting the duration of Hyper Focus.

(This build utilizes gear from NG+ and the Cyber Heist dlc so by this point you’ll be able to reach 20 on everything else)

Augmentations

Hyper Focus & Overclock

Modules

Javelin Dash & Tactical Charge

Melee

Buy the Uplus Bat from a weapon vendor and use it until you beat the main story. Then once you enter the Harbour in the Cyber Heist dlc, it’s finally time to switch to the Guillotine!

(Take the lift behind the Gun Smith, look straight ahead and you’ll see a dancer through the window of the adjacent building. Work your way round inside and at the bottom of the stairs is a chest, pretty sure that’s where I got the sword)

Guns

EBR Enforcer or ER Chrome Puncher for robots, Magmamaker for ferals.

Tactical

Rejuv Field

Armor

  • Head: Hydrocat Helmet
  • Torso: Custom Flatliner Rig
  • Legs: P-55 Propulsion Protectors II

Transmog

  • Head: Feud Helmet
  • Torso: Feud Armor
  • Legs: D-50 Netslinger Pants

Reason for prioritizing Body Battery and using Overclock is to help manage the constant energy drain of the Guillotine’s spin to win attack when you hold down left trigger. Even with all this I recommend only using it in short bursts on single targets but hold and move if enemies are clustered together.

I hope you found this helpful!
