20+ Active Buffs

Tammy 1st trait or Berry 2nd trait.

Pick Goddess and Synthesis auras, unlock maximum level via upgrade menu.

Aim for your highest dps or best record build and abuse the reroll and banish tokens which also can be increased by malice and the Upgrade Menu.

Dont increase Enemy HP and do increase their speed + spawn rate. Next when you get the illegal shop, pick any of them that includes shrines.

50 Active Buffs

20 is easy, 50 is the hard part because you need the stars to allign to where you get the DPS from weapons/auras plus you get lucky with shrine spawner + shrine frequency and the + elite spawn both from this shop or overtime mode.

For 50, you can grab Sly for his extra smuggler shops and get the higher chance to drop chests plus the -health/+duration buffs.

Also grab the upgrade that summons a shrine whenever you get a flower (the meta progression thingie), max the 2 shrine auras, wait for chests to pile up on the ground and whenever you get a high amount of buffs on you.

Pop all the chests on the ground to summon and clear shrines as fast as you can.
