Shapez 2 – Single Lane Advanced CMAM Blueprint

Single Lane Advanced CMAM

By MathAndCarnage.

This is a CMAM that can output a single lane of (almost) any possible shape. It handles multiple Crystal colors on the same layer, gaps below crystals, and pins on the bottom below crystals. It has been tested with the final Insane Milestone, and all the most difficult stages of the Insane Crystal Tasks.

Some Caveats:

Some shapes with gaps below crystals may need to be rotated 90 degrees to work properly. For example the final “It That Stared Back” Task will not work if rotated 90 degrees, but is fine at the default rotation.

This Machine will not make shapes where one quarter contains only Pins, such as CuCuCuP-:CuCuCuP-

Every other constructable shape should be possible to make in this MAM, but I would like to know if this isn’t the case. Please give me some shapes to test and I will happily do so. Though of course if the shape isn’t constructable by any means, my MAM won’t construct it either.

Instructions:

Supply Shapes and Fluids into the loading area as shown. It can take several minutes for the materials to buffer. Select your shape and connect the wires. Observe the validation section near the output section. It will flash for a few seconds. If the exclamation mark is green, the shape is constructable and will be output in a few minutes. If the exclamation mark is red, try pressing the rotation button near the shape selection area. If it remains red, the shape is not constructable by the MAM.

This machine isn’t very practical, but it is a good proof of concept. Possible further improvements are increasing the output to 4 or even 12 lanes, and fixing the quarter with only pins issue. Increasing the output will require a very large amount of extra resources (especially fluids), since the painting and crystalizing are done on a per quarter basis.

My experience with games started back in 1994 with the Metal Mutant game on ZX Spectrum computer. And since then, I’ve been playing on anything from consoles, to mobile devices.
