Rusty’s Retirement – Can’t Load My Save [Fixed]

How to Fix My Save Files

Problem:

Can’t load my save, and it appears corrupted.

Solution:

What you could try. In the following directory should be savefiles:

%USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/MisterMorrisGames/Rusty's Retirement/

There should be a .txt and .txt.bac file of the save you are looking for. Doe the following:

First close the game. Take the .txt file copy it and increase the last number of the file by one. Afterwards check if you can find the game.

If that doesnt work, (either because .txt is not therr or corrupted), take the .txt.bac file and change the file ending to to .txt.

Perhabs one of the above will help to restore the game.

I turned my love for games from a hobby into a job back in 2005, since then working on various gaming / entertainment websites. But in 2016 I finally created my first website about video games – Gameplay Tips. And exactly 4 years later, Game Cheat Codes was created – my second website dedicated to legal game cheats. My experience with games started back in 1994 with the Metal Mutant game on ZX Spectrum computer. And since then, I’ve been playing on anything from consoles, to mobile devices.
