Megaloot – Jace Build (Floor 166) Guide

Jace Build Guide

Talents

For this build, I play Swarm / Dazzle / Dazzle / Extra Attack. I like having 6 monsters every battle (from Swarm) because it gives me more gold and drops from the MERC set.

In my opinion, Swarm is a buff for floors 10-100 but can be dangerous super early (floors 1-10) and late game (floor 100+).

I take Double Dazzle because it will help me ramp up my Dazzle (in the mid/late game) without wearing the set or having to go full investment for Dazzle.

I actually take the Extra Attack because it helps a ton early game; the MERC set got recently nerfed, and this helps a ton to cover that early attack loss of the MERC set.

Now for the main threats to us:

Iron Golem: My general plan is to keep my PENETRATION ahead by 100%. I disassemble penetration items for the vast majority of the game.

Saturns: Have enough extra attacks to get through their shields (MERC set will handle this; sometimes on 6x Saturns, I need to swap in swift boots).

Jupiters: Enough precision to beat the Jupiters without getting dodged and then stunned.

Floor 15-20: I usually find my first cosmic/divine precision chest or legs and disassemble that. Typically, I just disassemble them when I see divine rarity in the shop or from drops. Super mandatory stat but not a high priority when rerolling.

Perfect Slaves: Enough raw DPS to kill the Perfect Slaves after Legacy set removes the shields. You will have access to Excalibur and the One Ring (2-piece Legacy set) by the time slaves become a “problem”.

Items

We use Mercenary / Demonic / Turtle / Legacy sets and sometimes Swift. Here is a breakdown of every single item I will buy throughout a run:

Training Sword – I grab these early and almost always disassemble them as the first item.

Silver Helm / Boot – I grab these on floor 1 only and replace with leather ASAP regardless of any armor losses. These could also be my floor 1/2 disassemble.

Amulet of Life – I wear this until gold neck with + armor.

Leather Boots / Legs / Chest / Helm (Mercenary set) – VIP very important set. Buy all of them early and often. Once you have at least orange quality, you can slow down on buying.

Iron Dagger – I buy these and use them until Golden Sword.

Golden Dagger – Sometimes I would run Merc / Gold / Swift, but I don’t anymore, so I typically skip these or buy just to disassemble if things are grim on the damage side.

Golden Sword – I use this until Demonic switch.

Greed’s Grasp (Gold Ring 1) – I use these until Demonic switch.

Precious Ring (Gold Ring 2) – I use these until Demonic switch.

Turtle Boots – VIP. Buy and put these on asap (you should be running Merc / Turtle / Gold at this point).

Orion Neck – These are solid options for disassemble early to get HP and PEN.

Turtle Legs – VIP. Buy and wear them accordingly (Turtle pants and Merc boot at this point is technically best).

Turtle Chest – I buy and upgrade this item and keep one in my stash in case I need to do weird swapping.

Golden Warden (Armor Gold Neck) – Buy and use this until Demonic swap, and then we use Shard of Power. We also buy divine copies of this item in the mid/late game when we start boosting armor.

Demonic Helm – VIP item. I wear Demonic Helm for the entire run from this point forward.

Shard of Power (neck with power/pen) – VIP item. I wear Demonic neck for the entire run from this point forward.

Demonic Chest – VIP. I wear this chest for the rest of the run from this point on (maybe sometimes swap with Turtle chest).

Demonic Ring – VIP item. I use this for the entire run unless I do some weird swapping. After the armor damage type swap, it becomes useless stats-wise but still what I wear. This might change in the future.

Giant’s Ring – Good item for upping your HP. I’ll disassemble 1 or 2 early game at around 150% HP rarity.

Ring of Power – Solid ring, was used a lot in pure armor runs but don’t use it much these days. I don’t bother buying.

Glimmer (Dazzle Ring) – VIP DISASSEMBLE – Get enough to disassemble 100+ ASAP. This will add insane amounts of tankiness to your build. I don’t often die in a run after getting 100 Dazzle.

Wood Mask – I only buy these in the late game when the armor damage switch is imminent.

Demonic Sword – This can be great if you want to run Swift, but I do not use it currently.

Demonic Axe – VIP. This is the weapon I use until I get Thronger.

Believer’s Locket – Disassemble a few of these early game when they have around 108% faith rarity.

Mask of Cataclysm – VIP – One of the best disassembles in the game. They apply to both physical and armor damage types. Buy as many as you can.

Gloom (Dazzle Neck) – Every time I see a divine or cosmic, I disassemble it. This is the main source of Dazzle in the build. I’m disassembling them all throughout the mid/end game.

Berserker Helm – I’ll disassemble 2-3 of these at cosmic/divine level. They boost our physical by A LOT but only our physical, not armor damage.

Lightning Boots – I grab a pair of these for the Swift set bonus. Sometimes I’ll need to swap to Merc / Demonic / Swift if it’s a 6x Saturn wave.

Blood Edge – VIP – The penetration on these is our main source of pen stacking. From the second I can buy them until I hit 1300%, I am buying every single one I see and disassembling them when they hit 70% or higher. These are also very good sources of damage in the early/mid game.

Turtle Gloves – VIP – I only buy these in the late game (around floor 80). Once I’ve decided it’s time to switch to armor damage, I start stacking these in divine rarity and disassembling them as much as I can.

Thronger – VIP – I buy and stack these as much as I can as soon as I can. The gold+ they add is amazing, and the raw damage is gonna carry us.

Unity – VIP – Best disassemble in the entire game – You’re buying damn near every single one you can for the entirety of floor 30-90. Also part of the LEGACY set.

Excalibur – VIP – Our BiS weapon. We use this for the entirety of the run even after we switch to full armor damage because of the gold gain and LEGACY 2 piece.

Floors

Floor 1-5

Just surviving. Disassemble any damage or armor you need to survive. Grab as much mercenary / turtle / gold set as you can. Equip those turtle boots ASAP.

Floor 6-10

HP/penetration items should be appearing now, like Orion’s Neck, Shard of Power, and Warhammer. Get penetration to 100%+. If no Orion’s Necks or Shards of Power are available, use Warhammers instead.

Around this time is when you should be switching from mercenary / turtle / gold into DEMONIC. You can go as early as floor 7 with the helm and chest. Floor 9, when you get the ring, is doable, and floor 11, when you get the axe, is mandatory in my opinion.

Floor 10-15

Get a 100 Dazzle Ring ASAP and disassemble it. Make sure you have enough HP. If you see high rarity Living Set items with 120+ HP, disassemble them. Keep your eye out for cosmic / divine precision items. Around wave 15, you should see your first chest or legs with 130+ precision.

I will buy Divine chest or legs and disassemble them until I have about 500-600 precision, then forget about it until floor 100+.

Floor 15-20

Masks of Cata, Gloom Necks, Blood Edge should be your main purchases here for disassembling. You should be full-blasting enemies by this point, and you’re just deciding when you need penetration / dazzle / power / faith on your disassembles.

Floor 30-60

We are full jamming Throngers and Rings of Unity along with Blood Edge and Masks of Cata. IF you see Divine rarity Glooms, grab them and disassemble them. Also, 1 or 2 Divine Zerker Masks are okay, but we are rerolling like crazy here.

Your main goal is to boost DPS with power and faith. Disassemble Throngers when they are red rarity and Unity Rings when they’re around 2250% faith or as needed.

Floor 60-80

We are starting to think about our damage armor swap. ALL disassembles at this point should be Masks of Cata, Rings of Unity with about 3000% faith, the odd Divine Gloom, and the odd Excalibur. Save up 1 or 2 Divine Turtle Gloves, Gold Armor Necks, and Wood Masks (the crown-looking item with power / armor %).

Floor 80-100

The armor damage swap is on the horizon. At this point, we are aiming for enough physical damage to blast slaves easily, making sure penetration is at 1300%+, precision is at 600ish, and dazzle to 20k+. You can also disassemble Turtle Gloves when you can.

If you’re just stomping the game and have all the stats listed above, you can start disassembling Gold Necks and Wood Masks. As we get closer to floor 100, we stop disassembling Excaliburs / physical-only stats and focus purely on power / faith / armor% / dazzle.

Floor 100+

You should be doing armor damage as your main source, and you’re focused purely on Turtle Gloves / power / faith / armor% / dazzle.

Floor 166

Got to floor 166 using this build.
