MARVEL SNAP – Skaarmora (Day 1 Namora) Deck

Skaarmora Deck Guide

The Queen

Namora is sick. First thing to say is that yes, it is hard to get her to be 5/16. Locations screw this card up heavily, restrictive locations, locations that create tokens, locations that shut down On Reveals, a lot is bad for her.

Cards can also screw her, while you are not worried when going against Debrii or Goblins (they are bad) cards like Nebula and White Widow are really good cards that can screw her.

But when Namora hits, she hits hard! 5/16 is massive and combined with the other cards in this deck most games where I could get her to that size I won. Getting only 1 buff with Namora is fine too, still a 5/11 and can discount the next key card in this deck…

The King

Skaar is a huge card, that always had the issue that his enablers simply where not that good. Namora feels like the best Skaar enabler ever added to the game, simply buff cards to 10+ power with her and you have an instant 2/11 in hand.

Sometimes you even get a 0/11, but it is very rare because of the problems that I talked about with Namora above. Skaar + Namora is still a snap though, going 5/16 into 2/11 is just too many stats.

The Court

To support these two the deck uses a bunch of 5+ power cards, the likes of Lizard, Medusa, Nocturne, Polaris and Captain Marvel. Your best Namora targets are cards that move so Jeff and Nightcrawler are also here, with Nightcrawler being especially good with Cull Obsidian.

Cull is here with Crossbones to allow you to do Skaar plays without needing to draw Namora and there are games where you will just play Crossbones into Cull into 2/11 Skaar and win. If you have Martyr she is a great addition instead of Ham.

  1. Thanks! I’ve been messing around trying to make Namora work and this worked better than my theory crafts. Definitely think straying away from Wong and focusing on cards that can move themselves really lessens the ways other decks can screw you over.
