MARVEL SNAP – Seeing Double Deck Guide

Seeing Double Deck

So many multiverses, so many different versions of heroes! Wouldn’t hurt to have more running around, right? Get some discounted cards and double them for an explosive finish! Much like the multiverse, this deck has several different playlines, and many orders in which you can play cards to great effect. Below, we’ll go over 4 types of cards: the doublers, the enablers, the destroyers, and the dupe targets.

The Doublers

Nico Minoru is one of the stars here, doing a lot for the deck, from destroying cards and getting you what you need to doubling cards herself. You generally wanna double your Venoms and discounted Mockingbirds if you can get them out early, but don’t be afraid to use her doubling spell on almost anything, as those cards can discount a late Mbird when played as well. Pretty self-explanatory, but can have plenty of nuanced uses. Be careful not to fill up your hand too much when you intend to use Moon Girl.

Moon Girl is the main star of the show, and the high roll you always want to look for, but don’t tunnel vision on her as there are other ways to cheat out cards. Ideally you want to double Sabretooth, Mbird, or Death, but doubling the Symbiotes can also be amazing for when you need to split up Nimrods. Even just doubling the cheap cards can mean discounting Mockingbird later.

The Enablers

Squirrel Girl is here to discount both Death and Mbird, but be careful because sometimes you can’t do both. Ideally you get a cheap Mbird out first and then destroy the Squirrels to discount Death.

X-23 is just here to discount Death and ramp out Nimrod or Moon Girl early, which in turn can enable some cheap Mbirds. She can also make up for when you can’t discount your cards as much as you’d like. Doubling X-23 up can make for some crazy shenanigans with all the discounts too.

Pyslocke has a similar function as X-23, serving to ramp out Nimrod and MG early, which can then discount Mbird. She also serves as good fodder for the Symbiotes to discount Death.

The Destroyers

Carnage is nice and cheap, serving as an easy way to destroy some of your low cost cards mentioned above, but can also be nice to double up and play on the last turn for cheap, especially to split up Nimrods or make space for them or your other spam.

Venom is very similar, but is even better due to his strength when doubled with Nico’s doubling spell and his ability to consolidate power with no loss. You will need that space some games.

Killmonger is mostly here to destroy your 1-costs to discount Death and help ramp with X-23, but is also a really good tech card in the current meta, destroying pesky Nebulas and junk cards like rocks.

The Dupes

Sabretooth is amazing when duplicated, serving as free 10 power. Not much to say here; his function is straight-forward, much like the character himself.

Death is a cheap 12-power card that benefits from everything in the deck. She is often really cheap and thus amazing to copy with MG or Nico. Don’t be afraid to play her early if you get Nico’s copy spell on a good curve, as I mentioned earlier.

Mockingbird is one of the prime duping targets, usually costing 3 or less. She gets discounted from Squirrels, Nimrod copies, several locations, and any dupes you manage to play from Moon Girl or Nico.

Nimrod, while not a good Moon Girl target, can copy himself with the Symbiotes or Nico’s destroy spell. Ramping it out early is always preferred, so that you can still MG on turn 5, and then play discounted cards along with Symbiotes on 6 for a lot of surprise power that is hard to predict. But don’t be afraid to pop it early so you can discount your Mbird. Deciding whether to do so early or late is a meaningful decision you will have to make.

The main challenge in this deck is play order. Things work out in a lot of ways but be mindful of which paths will lead to victory! Good luck!
