Hush Hush – Only Your Love Can Save Them – How to Cheat (Jackpot Achievement)

Jackpot Achievement Guide

The Long Way

I wouldn’t do it this way because it takes forever. But if you want to get the achievements without cheating, here’s the quickest way:

  1. Start a new game.
  2. Go through the intro until Qpernikiss asks you “yea, or nay?”
  3. Choose “Nay.”
  4. Keep going until you see “maybe next time, choose to play the game.”
  5. Save your game here.
  6. Go to the next page, which is the Game Over screen. You might get the Speed Run! achievement if it’s your first time, and you’ll also get That’s How We Learn if it’s your first Game Over.
  7. Go back to the Title Screen.
  8. Hold down the Ctrl key or find a way to keep it held down.
  9. Choose Load Game and load the save you made in Step 5.
  10. The game will skip the text and go to the Game Over screen right away because you’re holding Ctrl.
  11. Repeat Steps 7-10 775 more times (or less if you already had some Game Overs).

The Quick / Cheat Way

This way is much faster for getting the achievements, but you have to edit a game file. It’s easy to do, but it’s definitely cheating. I think it’s okay to cheat for this achievement because getting 777 Game Overs is just crazy. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Do Steps 1-7 from the long way.
  2. Quit the game.
  3. Open File Explorer and go to Steam/userdata/[string of numbers]/782250/remote. The string of numbers is different for everyone.
  4. Open common.sav with any text editor.
  5. Look for “Gameovers” and change the number to 12.
  6. Save the file and close it.
  7. Open the game again and load the save you made in Step 1. Go to the next page to get to the Game Over screen. This will count as your “13th” Game Over, and you’ll get the A Baker’s Dozen achievement. Then go back to the Title Screen.
  8. Do Steps 2-7 three more times, but change the “Gameovers” number to 68, 419, and then 776.

I would highly recommend using the Cheating Method.

I turned my love for games from a hobby into a job back in 2005, since then working on various gaming / entertainment websites. But in 2016 I finally created my first website about video games – Gameplay Tips. And exactly 4 years later, Game Cheat Codes was created – my second website dedicated to legal game cheats. My experience with games started back in 1994 with the Metal Mutant game on ZX Spectrum computer. And since then, I’ve been playing on anything from consoles, to mobile devices.
