Trap Tips

You should be able to catch prey often with 100% trapping. It is possible that you’re doing something that is interfering with the trapping.

Here are a few tips that might be of help to you:

• Use long lasting bait, like seeds or salted fish. If bait expires before the trap triggers, the trapping timer will reset and you will catch nothing.
• Do not change bait from a trap, that will reset the timer.
• Do not use small game traps (deadfall, snare) in monitor lizard territory, as they will eat your prey reducing your chances of catching anything.
