How to Fix Error: 6071 (D)

Disclaimer: I Can’t guarantee that this is a permanent solution.

After doing these steps, I’ve been able to loadup the game without it crashing.

  • Ctrl + R
  • Search “Regedit”
  • Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography
  • Change the “MachineGuid” value to a Randomly generated GUID.
  • For example: d1eb246e-6243-4460-a88e-5d4e52b1ef6b

Your game should now start without crashing. (This fixes the Error 6071 problem).

Just in case I did write down my previous MachineGUID in case of any problems, so I suggest you do the same.
